As an artist, I've always been drawn to the versatility of acrylic paint and the endless possibilities it offers. Recently, I decided to push the boundaries of my creativity by exploring new techniques and mediums, venturing beyond traditional canvas paintings.

One of the most significant shifts in my artistic journey has been the transition from canvas to paper. Not only is paper more accessible and affordable, but it also offers a different texture and absorbency that can yield unique results.

The flexibility of paper has encouraged me to embrace spontaneity and explore new ways of layering colors and textures. Whether it's heavyweight acrylics on paper or smooth Bristol board, each surface presents its own set of challenges and possibilities, pushing me to adapt and evolve as an artist.

But my exploration doesn't stop there. I've also begun incorporating 3D elements into my artwork, blurring the lines between traditional painting and sculpture. Instead of confining my creations to flat surfaces, I've started painting on wooden boxes and other unconventional media, transforming them into interactive pieces of art.

These three-dimensional canvases offer a new dimension of storytelling, allowing me to create immersive worlds and narratives within my artwork. By painting directly onto these objects, inviting viewers to engage with the pieces on a deeper level.

Moreover, I've expanded my repertoire to include functional art, such as painting on plates and other household items. What once served as tools for creating art has now become the canvas itself, blurring the boundaries between art and everyday life. The idea of seeing my paintings adorning dinnerware or decorative objects adds an element of whimsy and accessibility to my work, bridging the gap between the gallery space and the home.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue pushing the boundaries of my creativity and exploring new mediums and techniques. Perhaps in the future, I'll delve into the world of ceramic art, experimenting with painting on clay and porcelain to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
